Melissa Cabanilla


Melissa is a lawyer who specializes in Procedural Law and Cassation. Her career encompasses a wide range of roles in government institutions and academia, with a prominent focus on preventing violence against women and coordinating public policies. Notably, she served as the Undersecretary for the Prevention and Eradication of Violence against Women, Girls, Boys, and Adolescents at the Ministry of Women and Human Rights. In this capacity, she played a key role in proposing public policies and regulations to combat gender-based violence. Furthermore, Melissa currently holds a teaching position at the University of San Francisco in Quito and has significantly contributed to academia through publications and conferences.
